Never pay before you see it
No deposit, no booking fee, no «holding» payment. Visit the property, or send someone you trust, before transferring a single colón.
Check who the owner is
Ask for their ID and the property (finca) number, and check it at the National Registry. It is free and can be done online.
Be wary of a price that is too good
A price far below the rest of the area is almost always bait.
Do not send documents in advance
Nobody needs your ID, payslips or bank details before a viewing.
Keep a trail in the chat
If you talk through the Selvatika chat, the history is kept. If something goes wrong, it helps us investigate.
Report it
